Role Overview:
As a WordPress Developer at CraigMillar, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites for our diverse clientele. You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to ensure that our web solutions are both visually appealing and highly functional. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, but you must be willing to travel as needed to meet with clients or team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create engaging and user-friendly websites.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
- Conduct client consultations and provide technical support as needed.
- Implement and manage e-commerce solutions using WooCommerce.
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility for all websites.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings or team collaboration sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with popular page builders such as Elementor or Beaver Builder.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
